The Madrid pattern was first made by Federal Glass from 1932 to 1939. Federal revived it in 1976 as "Recollection" for the Bicentennial, embossing a '76 on each piece. When Federal closed in 1980, Indiana Glass acquired the molds, removed the date stamp, and continued production. This open sugar bowl which was never designed with a lid is one of the known reproduced
