PAPER DOLL BOOK (1971) filmmusic Nan Goldin’s brilliant Couples andAmazing book devoted to the avant garde theatre group the Cockettes. Originating from Haight Ashbury, the Cockettes were pioneers in the glam rock style, blending electric fashion, androgyny, and cross dressing. This book was made for their New York show at the Anderson Theatre on the Lower East Side. The photographs could be cut out and the reader could dress the different members of the Cockettes according to their tastes. A very interesting account
