Victorian Silver Plated Lion Mask Soup Tureen, circa 1850. Under 500 Made on the original Victorian19th century Sheffield Plated oval soup tureen & cover with lion mask and foliate handles. The tureen is raised on four lion paw feet with elaborate foliate, scroll and shell shoulders. The borders are gadrooned with shell decoration and the domed cover terminating in a naturalistic handle. In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age. Some areas of copper bleed, as shown in the photos. Approximate weight is 4. 9 kilos. Approximate
