Rare SQUARE Velvet Case 1850s Ambrotype 1/9 Photo 1850s New York Pennsylvania cornelius this is the only photo1 9 ambrotype, in a rare "rounded square" style velvet, presentation style case. Based on ID'd photos picked up with this image, he was probably a member of the Slocum Pitkin family of New York State and Pennsylvania. Ambrotype is in very good condition, case has some light wear to parts of the velvet and doesn't click closed, but I think that's because the image is sitting a bit high. 8379A
