A thinner slice permits more light to enter the stone, where it is refracted at a brighter hue and colour range. Polished both sides. Shown in standard lighting as well as BACKLIT using a torch. The rainbows in Iris Agate are an optical phenomenon caused by the arrangement of banding within the agate. When backlit at the correct angle, the bands will flame out into
