There are two buttons at the top of the tunic and one below where the belt would tie - I feel like it is really meant to be worn more open and loose over the pant with the belt slung around the hip for a hint of shape

The waist nips in severely and then hips are cut to be curved

These were made by hand for the tourist market and this one is unusual for its longer length since most end just about the knee

It was made under the creative direction of John Galliano For this show the Dior Catwalk book noted that "Galliano took a trip on the Trans Siberian railway and drew inspiration from Russian avant garde as well as the Chinese red army."
